you know it's cold when...
Thanks to all of the lovely people who commented on my Tubey. You really made my day!
Now, to make everyone go AWWWWW....my living room, five minutes ago...

Yeah, these are my fur-children. The dog is Binky, the tortoiseshell is Dory, and the tabby is Stabby. They all cuddled up on the lounge tonight, and I couldn't resist getting an inaction shot. Yes, I have a doona on my lounge. At the moment, it is so cold that I'm moving from doona-point to doona-point.
The crochet is starting to get addictive. I'm making scarf #2 now - it's one of those really long ones with the huge horizontal stripes. Then I realised that crochet was damaging my world cup chances, and I have put it aside for now to concentrate on my project for the cup. It's not going too well. Let's hope it comes up against the other teams with aplomb!

Aren't they just adorable!
Awwwwwww check out the babies! They're adorable. I knew it must be cold when Scout insisted on sitting on my knee in the winter despite there not being the space for both of us on the chair. He always ends up with more blanket than me too.
Crochet is addictive, especially when you realise how quiclkly it grows. Get on with the World Cup - you've got Brazil coming up.
Silly American girl here had too look up what a "doona" is! It's hard to imagine that it's cold your way while it's 28-30 deg.c. in my area this week. And summer hasn't even arrived yet.
I meant to comment how great your tubey came out but my laptop is having issues that I can't figure out, argh, so I'll say it now while it's working!
And, your furbabies are so sweet. It's the Awwwwwwwwwww moments that make you forgive them after they steal your wool!
Awwww! They're cute, and they're cuddling! That makes them extra-cute.
Crocheting looks like so much fun. I'm taking a how to crochet book, a hook, and some yarn on the plane when I go to visit my parents. Crochet produced beautiful FO's, and apparently, everyone thinks it's OK to take on airplanes (unlike knitting, grrr!).
The "kids" look wonderful. And so cozy. I'd miss winter if it hadn't just done that Northern CA cool-down thing.
I believe the lure of quick-finish items -- but the World Cup beckons!
Keep warm.
doonas! cute fluffy animals!
it was cold enough for my sister's cat to actually Sit Still for awhile. we cuddled, then i sneezed all night.
So cute, I love happy pet moments like these :-)
Is your dog dressed? Ever since Isobel I've become fascinated with small dogs wearing clothes.
Isn't crochet addictive? I'm all about doilies and motifs lately.
